About Us

VFW Post 9777 was established in February 1965 and our mission, vision, and goals, echo that of our parent organization.

We fully support Veterans, active duty servicemembers, and the community. Each intrinsically intertwined and dependent upon the other for support and success.

VFW Post 9777 provides services which include:

• Dignified military funeral service with honors for Veterans of Fulton County
• Flag Ceremonies upon request
• Color Guard for parades and events (Flags)
• Provide assistance to members, veterans, and local residents in time of need when possible
• Serve as active member(s) of Salem City Council
• Fulton County Fair Association
• Boy Scouts
• Voice of Democracy
• Patriots Pen Scholarships
• Teacher of the Year
• Nick Bacon Memorial Scholarship
